DescriptionThis sculpture portrays a bacchante, a follower of Bacchus, the god of wine in Greek and Roman Greek and Roman mythology. The bacchante is carrying a child and holding grapes in her right hand. The sculpture was added to the Tomei Albiani fountain in 1920.
