BiographyJohn Sartorius was born in London, May 26, 1759 and died in 1828.Hailing from four generations of sporting artists, John Sartorius is considered the best and most prolific of his family. His patrons included the Prince of Wales and the opposition politician Charles James Fox. Many of Sartorius's works were engraved and published in The Sporting Magazine.
