DescriptionA highly decorated dresser top trinket box; lift lid chip carving along the top edge with generous flat base molding. The surface of the box is profusely decorated with various floral and bird devices; a large star and script initials "G.M." on the top; each end panels with peacocks. Wax inlay work was often done by sailors who saved sealing wax for use in these artful productions.
