Label TextWright first created tall-back dining room chairs in 1895 for his own house in Oak Park, Illinois. By 1902, Wright had moved on to a new, more robust interpretation of the design for Ward W. Willits' house in Highland Park, Illinois. The Willits house chair is somewhat more subtle than its prototype, with slight flairs to the back, top and feet.
