DescriptionThis statue portrays a standing figure of a youth with curling hair wreathed with roses. His left arm is held across his body, the hand possibly holding an apple, while the right arm hangs at his side, the hand grasping a pouch. He is probably an allegorical figure possibly referring to the Hymenaios, the Greek god of marriage ceremonies who inspires feasts and song in Greek mythology.
