DescriptionThe figure's only attribute is a violin placed behind his right foot. He is wearing a loose robe that billows slightly behind him. He has his right hand splayed across his breast. He is wearing buskins that reach half way up his calves.
The representation of the muse of Music is typically represented with various and numerous musical instruments, usually playing a lute or a harp while cupids or shepherds dance around him, playing other instruments. This figure, however, does not hold or play an instrument. Without further documentation, it is impossible to identify this figure.
