DescriptionIn this portrait of a man, the sitter is standing three-quarter length in an open landscape. In the right distance is a pavilion surrounded by pillars, employed for Indian palaces of many British residents of India. The sitter is dressed in a bright blue suit with oversized brass buttons, a white neckcloth and French lace collar and cuffs.
