Label TextIn this drawing portraying a young woman wearing a classical Greek dress, Moore uses the female figure to investigate the perfect combinations of color, line, and form to evoke aesthetic pleasure. The figure, in golden robes, is set against a leafy green backdrop punctuated by yellow flowers. The focus is not on the narrative but on the balance of light and dark, which is derived from his study of Japanese art, and on the harmonious relationships between colors and shapes that were at the core of his practice (2022).
