Antonio Natali

BiographyAntonio Natali (1850-1918), an Italian artist from La Spezia who was active in Florence in the second half of the 19th century and in the early 20th century. Natali was mostly known for his genre and animal sculpture in marble and funerary monuments. He was interested in finely carved sculptures with an allegorical interpretation. Antonio Natali is listed among the electors of the Council of the Beaux Arts in Florence. Natali is buried in Bagno di Ripoli (Florence) in the monumental cemetery of Antella (Cimitero Monumentale dell’Antella) where his son Fausto Natali sculpted his gravestone.
