DescriptionA William and Mary black painted maple banister back side chair; with carved and pierced cresting of feathered plume and flanking scrolls, above five split bannisters set in molded stay rail joining block, canted back, and vase and ring turned stiles with bulbous finials, on trapezoidal seat and block, vase and ring turned legs joined by bulbous turned front stretchers, double ball feet; retaining its original black paint; Boston or North Shore, Massachusetts.
