DescriptionTo the waist, full-face, the body slightly to the left front. Powdered hair, dressed full; wide straw hat, bound and trimmed with sky-blue ribbon; sky-blue silk gown with muslin fichu, and a posy of jasmine on her breast. A black silk, lace-trimmed mantle covers her shoulders. Her fawn-gloved hands are crossed over her waist, the right uppermost. Background of tree trunks and autumn foliage, with a glimpse of evening sky and distant trees low down on the left.
