DescriptionOne of a pair of side tables made in England after an original design probably by Daniel Marot, a French architect who was brought to England by William III late in the 17th century. The top is of verde antico marble, mined in Thessaly, Greece.

Label TextThis table, as its pair, are based on the designs of French Huguenot architect and furniture designer Daniel Marot, who was Master of Works to England's Dutch-born king William III. Not a period table, it was produced in the early 20th centiry by the high-end decorating firm of White Allom and Company, who supplied many of the furnishings for Henry Huntington's new Beaux-Arts mansion in San Marino.
